Swagbucks UK – Making money online

Everybody likes to earn a little bit of extra money and you can do this from the comfort of your sofa (or under the duvet if your like me) in your spare time! How much time do we mindlessly scroll through Facebook, Youtube, Instagram or just the general internet? I know that I can be guilty of this myself the majority of the time, until I realised that I could be using this time to get some extra money (and this makes penny pinching dad very happy indeed)

And this is where Swagbucks UK comes in

Basically, you complete tasks online and get rewarded when these are completed in the local swagbucks currency “SB”

Some of the ways you are able to earn these “SB” are

  • Completing surveys
  • Watching Videos
  • Using the search bar
  • Playing games
  • Online shopping

You may find that you would be doing some of these tasks anyway, so why not make some money while doing it?

The Daily Goal

Everyday you are set a daily goal to meet, and if you reach this you are rewarded with bonus SB. If you meet this goal for 7, 14, 21 days and everyday of the month (that’s dedication) you will receive an extra bonus. You can then claim this bonus at the end of the month (if you don’t then you will lose it, so dont forget) This can really make it worthwhile, and you can easily bag this bonus with a little bit of time spent completing tasks each day, I usually complete mine while having breakfast or on an evening in between watching the TV

This is my personal favourite way of earning SB, I spend around half an hour a day completing surveys which, for me, is the quickest earner. This can range from anything like talking about your buying habits, your interests, or reviewing potential new products which will help companies improve their products. You can earn up to 200sb per survey but the norm is about 40-50sb per survey which take around 10 minutes to complete, this will usually help you reach the daily goal above.

The Swagbucks Search Bar

One of the easiest ways to earn SB is to use the swagbucks search engine (it uses Yahoo! so a reliable search engine) and on random searches you will receive a little reward for searching. You can set your search engine to automatically use swagbucks search so that you don’t miss out on those all important SB. The search tool will also tell you if your eligible to claim SB for any online shopping that you potentially may be looking to do.

You are able to download an attachment to your internet toolbar, this is what they have called the “SwagButton”. The SwagButton automatically notifies you if the website you are visiting offers cash back for shopping. This add-on will also tell you if the shop you are visiting has any vouchers or deals on saving you more money (which is always a nice surprise)

Online Shopping

If you are a regular online shopper, then why not earn cash back while you are doing it. If you have downloaded the toolbar add-on, this will alert you if you are on a website where you are eligible for Swagbucks cashback and activating this will track your purchase, but if you haven’t then you can search through the swagbucks shop section to see if there are any offers from the retailer that you are looking to buy from. I have found that once the purchase has been confirmed, the earned SB is usually added to your account within a few weeks, and you can track this and it gives you a countdown to when this will be paid

Since I have started to use Swagbucks, I have managed to get around £15-£20 per month in PayPal gift cards which allows me to treat myself that little bit more than I could usually and not feel guilty about it. But the more time you spend on it, the more you can earn.

Good luck and enjoy
